Building Science Summit NZ 2026
TDCG took the opportunity to attend the Building Science Summit NZ 2026, held in the New Zealand International Convention Centre where industry experts from New Zealand, Canada, Australia, and Germany shared valuable insights on building performance and durability.
As architects, the sessions provided practical, evidence-based guidance on designing building envelopes that truly perform as intended, improving resilience, energy efficiency, and long-term outcomes for occupants.
Key highlights from the week:
✔️ Strategies to prevent moisture and durability issues across a range of building types
✔️ Clear, research-backed discussions on enhancing overall building performance
✔️ Real-world case studies demonstrating proven design and construction approaches
✔️ Meaningful conversations and networking with peers and leaders across the industry
The summit offered thoughtful perspectives that we look forward to integrating into future projects. We also had the opportunity to visit the new Convention Centre and gain an insight to the functionality of the space. Thank you to all the sponsors and organisers!
