Render VS Reality

A recently completed addition to an existing building, designed to respond thoughtfully to its surrounding context while carving out a distinct identity of its own.

True to its name, The Container Cafe takes its formal language from shipping container typology, reinforcing the brand while complementing the industrial character of the host building. Exposed concrete and steel define a raw, considered material palette.

Designed for a fast, efficient takeaway experience, the cafe features a servery window, customer lean bench and sheltered by a canopy that provides cover and definition to the exterior space. Internally, the fit out includes upgraded kitchen facilities.

The design process was developed in close collaboration with the cafe owner, aligning operational needs with the architectural vision.

The Container Cafe is now open and operational. A rewarding opportunity to deliver a considered, boutique commercial project.
