Our Principal Design Manager, Leticia, recently attended in:situ 2026 at The Aotea Centre in Auckland, the largest architecture event Aotearoa has seen.

For the first time, it ran alongside the Commonwealth Association of Architects General Assembly, bringing together local and international voices to explore design that honours te ao Māori and Pasifika perspectives while responding thoughtfully to our environment.

For Leticia, one of the highlights was reconnecting with people she hadn’t seen in over a decade, a reminder of the lasting connections that make our industry what it is.

The best conversations happen when people come together with different perspectives and a shared passion for what they do. Loved seeing NZIA create space for exactly that.
